About Georgie

Enthusiastic. Effervescent. Entrepreneurial.  All words to describe Georgie.  Her energy is infectious and inspiring.  People come to the Potting Shed for her … and her way with hair.

Some might say she’s a hair whisperer – her approach is intuitive and creative. It all began with a 10 year old Georgie dreaming of becoming a hairdresser (or a doctor).

Her adventurous spirit saw her leaving home to explore the world. She tamed dreadlocks for surfers on Sydney’s south beaches; joined relief aid teams in Thailand after the tsunami; followed kindred spirits to South Africa for a taste of laid-back (and game reserve) life; and learned the fundamentals of blow drying in Venice, Italy.

It’s in Italy – the home of Davines – that she discovered ethical, sustainable hair products.

She collected stories and friends before finding family in Bristol and Bonomini.

Three gorgeous children later, Georgie found herself cutting hair in her North Somerset conservatory (now the leaf room) and looked out at her garden potting shed.  A salon seed was planted and her green fingers brought it to life.

Hair at the Potting Shed opened its doors in 2018 … and has continued to evolve and expand.

Georgie loves rolling up her sleeves to transform hair and transplant flora.  She’s been known to excavate a zen pond, erect a Wendy House, and seasonally enliven the walled garden! All features and fun that can be spotted when visiting.
